You can’t miss the Amadeus Salzach-Island-Bar

Located opposite Austria’s Hotel Sacher in the old city of Salzburg. This floating bar is located on the banks of the Salzach river (address: Franz-Josef-Kai 1a). Coming from the famous Makartsteg, a curved pedestrian bridge connects the old with the new town and is located directly next to the Amadeus Salzach-Island-Bar.

Directions by car

From A1 / A10 Villach and Munich A8

Take the exit for the airport and drive into town along the ‘Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse’. At the junction of the ‘Innsbrucker Bundestrasse’ and ‘Neutorstrasse’  turn right and follow the road all the way in the direction of ‘Zentrum’ (Centre). After about 2 km you reach the Neutor (Sigmunds), directly before the Neutor you can turn right into the old town garage car park A or B. From the garage exit, follow the way to the house of nature or Mönchsberg elevator, from there it is only about 3 minutes to the Amadeus Salzach-Island-Bar.
