You can’t miss the Salzach Island Bar

Located oppo­site Austria’s Hotel Sacher in the old city of Salzburg. This float­ing bar is located on the rivers edge of the Salzach. Com­ing from the famous Makart­steg, a curved pedes­trian bridge con­nects the old with the new town and is located directly next to the River Salzach Island Bar.

From A1 /​A10 Vil­lach and Munich A8

Take the exit for the air­port and drive into town along the ‘Inns­brucker Bun­desstrasse’. At the junc­tion of the ‘Inns­brucker Bun­de­strasse’ and ‘Neu­torstrasse’ turn right and fol­low the road all the way in the direc­tion of ‘Zen­trum’ (Cen­tre). After about 2 km you reach the Neu­tor (Sig­munds), directly before the Neu­tor you can turn right into the old town garage car park A or B. From the garage exit, fol­low the way to the house of nature or Mönchs­berg ele­va­tor, from there it is only about 3 min­utes to the Salzach River Island Bar. If you do not want to park in the old garage you can just drive on through the Neu­tor, and after approx­i­mately 2 min­utes you will reach the Hanusch­platz, turn left onto Franz Josef Kai, on the right is the famous Red Cross car park. The Salzach Island Bar is located only 1 minute away by foot.
