Marionette Theater
This world renowned Theater, founded in 1913 by the sculptor Prof. Anton Aicher, is surely the leading one of its kind. Once you have submerged yourself in this captivating world you will then be caught up in the illusion and you will forget that the actors are just Marionettes, manipulated by strings.
Since 1913 the Salzburg Marionette Theater has travelled to more than 250 Guest Performances and has been on tour inside and outside the country. Our tip: Visit the “Welt der Marionetten” (World of Marionettes) Museum up in the Fortress Hohensalzburg as well.
