Especially at night the Salzach River shows itself from its best side as the lights of the city magically reflect themselves on its ebony surface. The Salzach River-Island lies centrally located in the inner city of Salzburg and is therefore the ideal place to spend some leisurely time. The Salzach River-Island is open daily from May, 1st to end of september, starting at 7.00 p.m. The architecturally challenging glass pavilion offers comfortable seating for 54 guests inside and seating for 30 guests outside. Soft Drinks, Wine, Beer, Cocktails, small snacks at the bar on the Salzach River-Island will win you over with its wide selection.
Not only for a drink with friends or an Aperitif before going out to Dinner is the Salzach River-Island "the place to be". The unique ambience of the Island also lends itself perfectly for exclusive celebrations. The generous seating of the Pavilion will accommodate up to 56 Dinner guests comfortably. Your guests will come to appreciate the one-of-a-kind view that presents itself through the spacious windows. Of course you can also combine cultural offerings, such as the Salzburg Fortress Concerts, with your visit to the Salzach River-Island. When it comes to catering your exclusive event on the Salzach River-Island, you have your choice: Savor a hearty and tasty 3-Course menu or a Steak prepared by the Islands own Kitchen or opt from a caterer of your own choosing. Celebrations on the Salzach River-Island are especially attractive when they are combined with a romantic evening cruise aboard the "Amadeus Salzburg". Following the boat cruise you can enjoy a delicious Candlelight-Dinner in the Glass pavilion at the "Makartsteg" (Makart footbridge) boat landing. Company celebrations, Incentives, Anniversaries, Weddings, and a multitude of other events have been celebrated on the Salzach River-Island. The opportunity for a exclusive rental and Charter is offered from April through October.
