Tour Guide
Experience Salzburg as you stroll along. The best way to discover the historical core of the city of Mozart is by taking a walking tour with a state licensed tour guide. The classic “Walking Tour” through the Old Town lasts approx. 2 – 3 hours and will take you to the most important historical sites. Besides the Cathedral, St. Peter’s abbey, the Archbishops’ Residence, and the Fortress Hohensalzburg, the Geburtshaus (birthplace) of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the Music Festival area also awaits you. During your walking tour you will also pass by some quaint establishments such as Salzburg’s oldest coffee house or its oldest Pharmacy (apothecary store) and your tour guide won’t hesitate to offer you some small anecdotes that will make the city and its people even more interesting.
Our personal tip: A guided tour through the Old Town combined with a Boat cruise on the Salzach River aboard the Panorama cruise boat “Amadeus Salzburg”.
