The Salzach-Island is “the place” for some quality time in the evening hours. Be it a quick drink with friends or a private function or celebration: you can eat, drink, and enjoy.
Especially at night the Salzach River shows itself from its best side as the lights of the city magically reflect themselves on its ebony black surface. The Salzach-Island is centrally located in the inner city of Salzburg and is therefore the ideal place to spend some leisurely time. The Salzach-Island-Bar is open daily starting at 19.00 Hours (7:00 P.M.). The spectacular Glass pavilion provides comfortable seating for 56 inside and 30 outside. Soft drinks, Beer, Wine, Cocktails, small Snacks – the Salzach River-Island-Bar has something to offer for everyone.
The Island offers a unique ambience even for exclusive celebrations. Up to 56 Persons will be able to sit and dine comfortably in the Pavilion. Your guests will come to appreciate the extraordinary view through the spacious glass windows. Of course you can also combine cultural offerings such as the Salzburg Fortress Concerts with your visit to the Salzach River-Island-Bar. When it comes to catering your group-event on the Salzach River-Island, you have your choice: Savor a hearty and tasty Steak prepared by the Island’s own Kitchen or opt for a caterer of your own choosing.
Celebrations on the Salzach River-Island are especially attractive when they are combined with a romantic evening cruise aboard the “Amadeus Salzburg”. Following the boat cruise you can enjoy a delicious Candlelight-Dinner in the Glass pavilion at the “Anlegestelle Makartsteg” (Makart footbridge boat landing).
